I would like to research the effect technology has on student engagement in the classroom. I would like to examine the modes of technology that seem to be the most and least effective at engaging students and why. I would also like to find out if technology in the classroom improves student learning (if this can actually be measured). Then I will look into potential hindrances to engagement with technology and how teachers can overcome this. I'm not sure which direction this essay will take yet- but I'm leaning towards hypothesizing that it does increase engagement but I'm unsure yet if this translates into improved learning.
